I made this piece as part of a poster series benefiting some pals who were arrested in New Orleans during the inauguration protests. On that day here in Portland, walls of cops in full riot gear brutalized and suppressed marchers who were trying to express their dissent. Their overuse of force was obvious and unjustifiable. They used tear gas, flash bombs, and rubber bullets to attempt to assert their control (it was truly frightening). But I'm so heartened to see people continue to mobilize on such a mass scale.
