Hopewell decided to increase their releases of specialty beers throughout the year. They needed bottle labels that didn't require expensive custom printing each time they bottled a new beer. With this in mind, my solution used colored stickers to house all flexible information. The stickers also served as color-coding for different categories of beer types. This allowed them to print large quantities of black and white labels while still allowing for playful color differentiators and easily-tailored label information.
For beers with longer-term releases planned, we designed full color stickers to make the bottles feel a little more special. With larger quantities, full-color printing was justifiable for these special beers.
Bring on the color
Each year, Hopewell throws a Back To School bash for college students. Fliers were printed black and white onto colorful pastel paper reflecting the brand's color palette. I hand-illustrated pencils, beers, and scribble/confetti marks to give the fliers a playful feel.
First Lager Poster
Hopewell also needed a poster to help their stockists spotlight their new canned beers. The poster has a clean, printerly feel, with blue stripes mimicking the stripes found on the First Lager cans. The beer can illustration was created by Ellen Wilde.
